Avarekalu Usli (Bangarpet spcl)

Preparation time -15 mins
Serves : 2

Ingredients:
  • Avarekalu - 1 big bowl (1/2 kg)
  • Green chilies - 7 (slit)
  • Curry leaves - 10
  • Ghee - 6-7 sp
  • Coriander leaves - To Garnish
  • Garlic - 2 whole with skin removed
  • Mustard - 1/4 sp
  • Salt to taste














Method:

  • Smash all the garlic.
  • Heat 6-7sp of ghee in a thick bottom pressure cooker.
  • Add Mustard and let them pop well. Add crushed garlic and fry until light brown.
  • Add slit green chili and curry leaves fry until curry leaves are crisp.

  • Add the cleaned fresh avarekalu and salt to taste, mix well


  • Cover the lid And pressure cook on low-medium flame till 3 whistles.
  • Once the pressure goes off add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chapathi or poori.
 Ps:It tastes best with tender green avarekalu
