Kaabul Kadale Usli

Preparation time : 30 mins

Ingredients :

  • Kaabul Kadale - 200 gms 
  • Onion - 2 medium
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Garlic - 10 clove
  • Green chili - 7
  • Curry leaves - 10
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 sp
  • Oil - 4 sp
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - to garnish

Method:

  • Kaabul kadale must be soaked overnight.Pressure cook the kadale with require amount of water and 1/2 sp of salt into it, upto 3-4 whistle.wait until pressure goes off.Drain the excess water with filtering bowl.
  • Make a paste of green chilies, ginger and Garlic (roughly crushed).
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed and let them pop well.
  • Add curry leaves and fry.
  • Add finely chopped onions and fry until its transparent. Add a pinch of salt to it.
  • Add the chili, ginger and garlic paste and fry for a minute.
  • Add the cooked Kaabul kadale and add salt if required.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve with chapathi or as a side dish.
