Raw mango chutney/Maavinakai chutney

Preparation time: 15 mins

Ingredients:


  • Raw Mango - 1 small bowl (grated)
  • Jeera - 1 tbsp
  • Jaggery - 1 lemon size
  • Garlic - 1 whole (skin removed)
  • Red chilies - 10
  • Curry leaves 
  • Oil - 1 sp
  • Mustard seed - 1 sp
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 bowl
Method:
  • Fry Red chilies with few drops of oil until they are crisp.It is good to take a combination of byadgi and guntur red chilies in order to have good color and khara.
  • In a mixer jar take grated raw mango, jeera, garlic, jaggery, few coriander leaves, fried red chilies and salt to taste.Grind well with required amount of water.  
  • You can add a seasoning of mustard seed and hing and curry leaves
