Ingredients :
- Green Beans : 500 gms
- Channa dl - 4 big sp
- Onions - 3 (medium)
- Green chili - 6
- Urad Dal - 1 sp
- Oil - 4-5sp
- Mustard seed - 1/4 sp
- Curry leaves - 10
- Coriander leaves - to garnish
- Salt to taste
- Coconut - 1 small bowl ( grated)
Method:
- Channa dal must be soaked in water for at-least 20 mins.
- Finely cut green beans and soaked channa dal must be pressure cooked with 1/2 sp salt till 2-3 whistles.wait until pressure goes off.
- Meanwhile heat 4-5 sp oil in a pan, add mustard seed allow them to pop well.
- Add urad dal and fry until light brown.
- Add slit green chilies and curry leaves nd fry for a while.
- Add finely chopped onions and a pinch of salt and fry until they are transparent.
- Drain the excess water from cooked beans and channa dal and add it to the pan. mix well and let them cook together for few mins.
- Turn off the flame, Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut and serve.
