Carrot palya/Sabzi

Preparation time - 20 mins

Ingredients :


  • Carrot - 2 big
  • Garlic - 1 whole skin removed
  • Green chilies - 7
  • Urad dal - 1/2 sp
  • Channa dal - 1/2 sp
  • Mustard seed - 1/2 sp
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Oil - 4 sp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Fresh coriander leaves - to garnish
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  •  Heat 4 sp oil in a pan. Add mustard seed and allow them to pop well. Add a pinch of hing.
  • Add crushed garlic and fry untill lt brown.
  • Add Urad dal, channa dal fry until light brown, add green chilies(slit) curry leaves fry until leaves are crisp.
  • Add grated carrot, salt to taste and mix them well. let it cook well with lid covered for 10 mins.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and Serve hot with chapathi.
