- Paneer 200 gms
- Onion – medium 2
- Tomato – medium 2
- Cashews - 14 soaked
- Poppy seeds – 1-1/2 tb sp
- Green chili – 2 sliced
- Red chili powder
- Coriander seed powder
- Garam masala
- Ginger paste – 1 tb sp
- Garlic paste – 1 tb sp
- Butter – 2-3 spoon
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves chopped/kasoori methi
Method :
- Make onion paste keep it aside
- Peel tomato skin and make tomato paste keep it aside (to easily peel tomato skin just put it in boiling water for 3 mins)
- Dry fry poppy seeds to warm and make paste of soaked cashews n poppy seed keep it aside.
- Heat 2sp Butter in a thick bottom pan, add Onion paste fry well, it may take around 10- 12 mins.
- Add ginger garlic paste fry for few mins
- Add tomato paste and continue to fry
- Add cashew n poppy seed paste and continue to fry cover it with a lid n let them cook well on low flame
- Add chopped green chili, red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, and garam masala, allow them to cook well for few mins
- Meanwhile bring a cup of water to boil in a saucepan, add 1 inch sliced paneer to it with flame turned off.Leave it for 2-3 mins.This will help to get rid off citrus smell of paneer and also it will make paneer hot and very soft. Drain the hot water with the help of filtering bowl and add paneer to pan.Saute well. Otherwise you can also fry paneer cubes ib 4-5 sp of oil till very light brown. You can choose which ever method is convenient to you.
- Add salt to taste
- Add coriander leaves chopped or kasoori methi when flames are turned off.
- Add 2-3 sp of butter and serve hot.
