- Onion - 2 medium
- Byadgi mensinkai/byadgi chili - 10 - 12
- Guntoor chili - 5
- Garlic- 7 - 8 small pods
- Jeera - 1/2 sp
- Coriander leaves - 1 small bowl
- Jaggery - small lemon size
- Tamarind - small piece
- Curry leaves - 10
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Dry fry the red chilies till they are crisp, make a fine powder of chilies in a mixer.
- To the jar add sliced onions, garlic, curry leaves, coriander leaves, jeera, jaggery, tamarind and salt to taste, blend them well with small amount of water to make it a thick paste.
- You can apply this red chutney inside the masala dosa and also goes well with akki rotti.
